Jesus: Yesterday, Today, and Forever
Through sharing, reflection, quietness, singing, and conversation, we will explore the life of Christian faith. By looking back at our lives, we will identify moments of revelation, encounter, and transformation (Jesus Yesterday). By active participation, we will position ourselves to dwell in the house of the LORD (Jesus Today). By prayerful discernment, we will seek the LORD as to the transformation he wants to bring into our lives and how we are to grow in our knowledge of Him until we see him face to face (Jesus Forever).
What does it mean to pray Dangerous Prayers?
There are Dangerous Prayers throughout the Scriptures and remarkable narratives surrounding the people who prayed them. Moses, David, Isaiah, Simon Peter, Paul, Mary…the list goes on. These saints, in a moment of crisis, a moment of encounter, prayed Dangerous Prayers that changed their lives and the world in which they lived.
A Dangerous Prayer Retreat is a moment to reflect, consider, and examine what it means to be a follower of Jesus and the risky way in which we are called to live.
