Day 36 – Legacy… How often do we step back from our life and really consider what we are doing? For myself this is an intentional exercise twice a year. I take a week long hermitage retreat and as I enter that space I do so to reflect on life. I know there are seasons where one day follows another and I can get so caught up in the flow of time. There have been moments where I have lived an unexamined life. I do not pause and consider but rather I am driven from one thing to the next. Something that will interrupt that cycle in a good way is when I think about legacy, specifically…Read More>
Day 37 – Servant Leadership… I get to teach seminary students from time to time. Regardless of the topic I always throw in a brief discussion of ministry essentials. The first one I summarize in three statements:

Day 40 – Journey’s end… I start with gratitude for these past 40 days. I am writing this on September 28th and as of today we have raised $11,010.00. From a friend who inspired me to this quest, he said 70% of the money raised came in the last 10 days. If that is true then it is possible that we will reach our goal of raising $40,000.00 for the Canterbury mission. So I invite, encourage and ask you to consider a gift, a pledge to Canterbury…Read More>
