“Lives are transformed here. Lives are made new. I don’t simply believe this, I know it. I work part-time here at Canterbury so I see it all the time…in a thousand tangible ways. It’s so evident our leadership trusts the Holy Spirit’s guidance to be a light and a sacred space in the Lord’s kingdom. I see it every day in the large and small moments of what we are called to do. We are set apart.
From the moment a person steps onto our exquisite 48 acres of land there is a palatable sense of tranquility and care. This is a loved land that’s easy to love but also where the very air permeates God’s love. Not long ago a woman was given refuge during a tumultuous time in her life. She was waiting for a critical detail to be resolved. We were her safe place, even if for just short time. She was not just provided the necessities of food and shelter but was ministered to as well. It’s those very details that set us apart. Canterbury is surely a beautiful facility with “over and above” hospitality but it’s so much more than that. What is intangible becomes tangible when our guests arrive. Anyone can provide a nice room, a comfortable bed and great food. We do all that and more. Canterbury is a sanctuary and a healing place. In know, I’ve been given both. That’s why I am a Canterbury Partner and you should be too.
