Partnership capitalizes on bringing the needed elements together to ensure success. One party in the partnership may bring expertise in management understanding priorities, needs and limitations. Another partner may bring insight and ability for a specific task. Others may contribute resources and finances to move the entity toward accomplishing its goals. All of these look to join together and in a real way become stakeholders in the venture.
We experience these kinds of synergistic relationships at Canterbury.
The staff manages the day-to-day operation of hosting guests, cleaning rooms, landscaping, setting up meeting space, cooking delicious meals and paying the bills.
There are people who roll up their sleeves and take on projects, fixing things and enhancing the campus. We are constantly in need of people with carpentry, plumbing, electrical skills and more.
Others invest financially supporting the mission. There are people because of their relationship with Canterbury regularly write a check or swipe a card to support us. They came or a friend or family member to Canterbury and they were touched by what happened for them. By giving they make those moments happen for others. This is at the core of what it means to be a Canterbury Partner and I hope you will consider, pray about becoming one today!
Reflect: Where have you seen people come together to accomplish a goal in your community, your church, your work, your family or your school? How can you help initiate more synergy happening?
